Happy New Year! I just wanted to show off the amazing gift we got for our family this Christmas. Over the past few years Michael and I started to make it a tradition to purchase something for the family together instead of exchanging individual gifts. We still exchange small gifts during Christmas but keep it very simple. This has helped us limit the amount of stuff in our home but also have made it fun. This year we decided to do something for our family’s health. We got rid of all our old pots and pans made from toxic materials that can get into our food while we cook. We replace them all with this lovely cast iron set from Staun, a French company. This makes me happy because we are putting less toxins into our bodies but also because I no longer have a mixed match set of pots and pans. They are so sturdy and beautiful. I have been using them since Christmas and they are amazing! Cooking with the right tools always makes cooking easier and more enjoyable. I am so happy with our purchase. I have wanted a set like this for over a decade but couldn’t justified the price. But as I have learned more about toxic overload in our lives over the years I couldn’t afford not to spend the money to protect our family. The great thing was that during the holiday season there were some great sales and promotions. Michael and I were able to get this whole set for price of what 2-3 of the pieces would usually get us. And I have to tell you that after using them over the past few weeks they are worth every penny.
